Flying Horse Farms in progress

As most of you know, my husband is working for an organization that’s building a camp for children with serious illnesses. The camp is called Flying Horse Farms and construction is really coming along nicely. The plan is to open this fall and serve families for the first year. It’s going to be an amazing place.

This past weekend on our way home from Cleveland, we stopped by the site because I haven’t been up there in a few weeks. It’s incredible to see the amount of progress in that time. There have been a fair share of obstacles, some bigger than others, as they’ve worked on the camp. But I have to say, when I walked around there, I could hear the kids laughing in the distance. I could see them playing together on the field. I could even smell the campfire. I felt the energy and excitement of those wonderful souls already. What a beautiful place. The kids are going to love it!

From most places in camp, you can see the water tower that’s on the road and has the Flying Horse Farms logo printed on it.

They even have grass growing!

Those three windows on the top floor will be our summer abode.
